DIRECTIONS
To the residence of Tessa Gunther and Scott Hagg:
106 South France Avenue, Golden Valley
The residence is known as Irie Ites.
We live in Golden Valley.
We straddle the border of Mpls and Golden Valley.
We live west of downtown Mpls.
We are North of 394 and South of Highway 55.
We are East of Highway 100 and West of Penn Avenue.
We are on the western edge of Theodore Wirth Park
which straddles Theodore Wirth Parkway
and which becomes Memorial Parkway to the North
and Cedar Lake Parkway to the South.
Did I say we are just 2 miles directly West of downtown Minneapolis off Glenwood Avenue?
Cheap seat route:
Find yourself at the Penn Avenue exit off 394.
Go North on Penn to 2nd 4-way stop: Glenwood Ave.
Go (Left) West on Glenwood for a ways (a mile or so).
You will pass Wirth Lake on your right and come to a 4-way stop at Theodore Wirth Parkway.
Very important here:
Keep going straight through the intersection staying on Glenwood.
Immediately on your left you will see an unmarked road / driveway.
Did I say unmarked? If you get to a real road turn around!
Turn Left on this driveway and go to the end.
Anyway that’s how to get to our house.
But, as I say, if parking is a problem,
just park in the field at the bottom of the driveway or on the next street west, Parkview Terrace
(and it is marked, being a real street and all).
Park and head up the grassy hill towards the house.
Classier route:
From Wayzata, or anywhere West: get to the intersection of Highway 100 and 394.
Take 100 North.
Take first exit which is Glenwood Avenue.
At Glenwood go (East) Left.
Pass the lovely Golden Valley homes of Tyrol Hills.
Occasionally glance right and be looking for a street called Parkview Terrace.
Normally you would pass Parkview Terrace and turn Right in the unmarked road/driveway, heading up the hill.
However,
If that little road/driveway and the field below is crowded, you'll be sorry that you just didn't turn Right on Parkview Terrace,
park and walk up the grassy hill towards the house.
Tony route:
From the South: round about Lake Calhoun way,
head North on Dean Parkway or Cedar Lake Road.
Cruise around the west shore of lovely Cedar Lake.
Cross 394.
Pass Elouise Butler Bird Sanctuary and Wild Flower Garden.
At 4-way stop of Glenwood and Theodore Wirth Parkway turn Left (West).
Immediately you will see on your left an unmarked road / driveway.
Did I say unmarked? If you get to a real road (Parkview Terrace) turn around!
Turn Left (South) up this driveway if it's not too crowded with cars.

Alternate Tony route:
From the North: head South on Memorial Parkway / Theo Wirth Parkway.
To Glenwood Ave…..as above, only go Right (West), ok?
